Protest Protest Protest! UPDATE
Yesterday folks came out in the hundreds to protest the non-guilty verdict of the officers in the Sean Bell case. Al Sharpton and Bell's widow, Nicole Paultre-Bell were arrested among others. I attended the protest on 125th in Harlem but there were also gatherings on 34th st, the 59th st bridge and at 1 Police Plaza in the Financial District. I am proud that folks came together to take a stand against injustice. The latter seems to happen far too often and we have to be consistent in letting the govt, police, media, etc know that it will NOT be tolerated.

Good on you Deev! If we don't stand up no one will. We live in some very complacent times (just look @ any rap video 2day)...but some of us will never tire or rest,it would be an insult to our forefathers to(rest)
wheres all the young activist? any young leaders out there? I'm too scared to lead but wheres the real people who aint im 18 and i got enough problems managing my girl i could never lead a revolt but there is those ready to rebel if justice wont prevail. if that person existed i would follow their lead. I dont feel secured with Al he never gets the upper hand a real Leader will. I guess those Leaders Dont exist anymore. Everyones scared. lord Give us another moses.
mad i missed the protests...i have been trying to see what they are doing in my area...
as far as the anonymous comments above me, i think its time for some people to stand up and it worries me when people say they are scared to lead. We don't just need one leader, we need many leaders. True rebels aren't afraid to lead. I agree about Al though, Obama will be the best thing we've had since Martin...he can make real change...
